You could pedal your bike or click into nordic skis and be in the Frisco Peninsula Recreation Area. During the summer, there’s a skateboard park, and downhill biking and bmx style bike park. The winter brings a sledding hill and beginner area for snowboarding and skiing. It’s a bunny hill, and once the basics are mastered, you can then upgrade to the bigger resorts nearby. Copper Mountain is one way, the Keystone Resort another, and the Breckenridge Ski Resort is just to the south on Highway 9.
