3 Tips to Prepare for a Colorado Wildfire

The title of this blog is “3 Tips to Prepare for a Colorado Wildfire” and helps prepare you with items to consider pertaining to your home, property and a Colorado wildfire. We recently had a fire in the Peak 2 area, and it took several days and the efforts of many to safely extinguish the fire and remove the danger.

Click here to read more on a previous post about the fire and the local and statewide resources involved. The Short List

  1. Make a Defensible Space – Clear the area around your home and help firefighters protect your property
  2. Sign up for Emergency Notifications – Receive real-time alerts and texts with up-to-the-minute information
  3. Create an Evacuation Checklist – Store essentials in a fire-proof safe, and have your escape plan in order
